A perennial concern in the hydroelectric industry is mitigating the environmental disruption caused by dam building, and many engineers and construction people are working to solve myriad complex issues. The cover image for the January 1985 issue of Hydro Review shows the magazine's early commitment to responsible, sometimes disingenouous, discussions of hydroelectric development and the environment. My favorite part of this cover is the tiny cows grazing in the meadow in the lower right.
