This was the cover for the inaugural edition of Solid Waste & Power magazine in February, 1987. The magazine addressed the new industry of burning trash to generate electricity, a unique and bizarre business idea of the current era. Here we were trying to convey the notion that there is potential energy in trash. Someone said that this image looked like Thor's garbage can. There is probably some veiled, ominous mythic symbolism in play here
